Here's why a 'safe option' may not be safe

Son : I want to be a footballer/singer/chef/xyz. Father : Football ka abcd aata hai? How will you  arrange money? Its too dangerous. What if you get cheated?   Its NOT SAFE , think about engineering. Son : okay, but engineer-..  Father : Say no more. *takes admission* Ok, this is too stereotypical. But to many of us Engineering was a "safe" choice wasn't it? Alright. just focus on whats highlighted above. Almost all of us were told to choose the safe option. Or be told that something was not safe. I'm talking about your life choices here.  Not in a situation where someone asks you to jump into a snake pit, which is not safe ofcourse. Anyway, your parents have been your guiding light since the beginning, and why wouldn't you listen to them when they advise you. They have taught good things to you, be grateful.
