Do you think you're average?

   Do you think you're average?

Getting consistent B's and C's in school, not excelling in piano lessons which your parents put you in, unable to solve abacus lessons, average in sports, you like to draw but you just simply suck at it. You love music but you just simply suck playing;
An overwhelming amount of interests flying around your mind as a young child might put you in a fixation that you're just average when you see others excel in various things.

What do you do?
You think you're not good enough?

It's true that they say we all look the same when we're born, we almost take the same time to start walking and start saying 'mama' and 'papa' for the first time (although my first word was 'building' more like 'bii-ddi-ing'). Then things start to change, things get more slower.

What is it? you take more time to learn the bicycle than most kids, you take longer to do math problems. What happened there?

I am forever grateful for this life, being part of the millennium, witnessing everything beautiful and ugly there is. I just got to tell you, don't worry if you feel the same as above.

I'm an average child, still chasing things. I guess you will find something you love. Love? Yes, i'm sure we have all "felt" that. or did we really? (don't google it)

But as Wikipedia tells you, (lol), it's the most deepest affection and simplest pleasure. yeah. I think you reduced some of your "love" situations. Do what you love, love what you do. As easy as it sounds, it's unfortunately not.

We've been conditioned in many ways, to do things as we are told. We sometimes are restricted to do what our "heart tells us" . Our heart seems to me confused then, 'this guy ain't doing what i'm telling him to do!'

It becomes harder and harder to listen to what your heart says, you feel the voice of your heart seems to fade away. You start thinking of whatever bad is happening in your life, be it anything. Death of a close one, Failure to do something you love. A 'heartbreak'. Anything. You tend to think maybe you should just Stop and move on.

A house is built with thousands of bricks. you start with one.
Maybe if bricks don't work, you use wood. You don't stop building that house just because you failed once. You try again till you get it right. Don't compare yourself and feel bad. Fucking go all in. Don't listen to hatemongers, because if you do. They're right. and you don't like being wrong do you? You don't like being told what to do. Do you? I'm talking to to you, the kid who took forever to learn to 'ride a bike'

We need to fathom the fact that, we need to learn how to 'see' , how to visualize. Scientists say that what we see is just 40% of what's actually there , the rest is just filled in by our brain. (go ahead, read that again)

So we all have our mental models. Trust me, they are everything and the only thing we can count on. We have grown up to be conditioned to see things a certain way without giving a chance for the new, the unseen, the unobserved.

Challenge yourself. Challenge your decisions. Ask yourself. Know the 'whys' before the 'whats'. Evaluate the whys.

When we start getting good at things, might last a while. However, we lose our mental model as when we were beginners, that's a problem. Kinda like when they say 'dont forget your roots' , but just think of this. -

don't be afraid to be a beginner all over again. Embrace it. Because you will face the unknown and you have to be mindful.

Don't stop from believing.
Don't stop experimenting.
Don't stop being creative.
Don't stop being curious.
Don't stop exercising.
Don't stop dreaming.
Don't stop chasing.
Don't stop loving.
Don't stop trying.
Just don't stop.

Cause one day you will stumble upon what you love. It might change, but everybody has their own story, everybody has their own race. As long as you keep running for it. You'll surely know it was worth it.

So finally, do you think you're average? Chances are you might be. But do you stop at that? Evaluate, analyse yourself extensively, you need to know yourself better before knowing anything else.

Quoting Simon Sinek in his famous ted-talk, "Martin Luther King Jr. said ' I HAVE A DREAM' , he didn't say ' I HAVE A PLAN'.
